Spring breeze - Spring Make-up + Review

Hey guys! Hope you are all well!
Spring made it's way...for now...in the city, with the dust and heat that follow, of course. But in any case...Longer and warmer days are here ^^.
Today I went on a stroll with a friend in one of our malls and I was very much taken in with their spring add *grins*. I really liked how the model had her make-up done, so I took a picture fast and redid it today for you guys ^^.

Be warned that a lot of blending is in order..and a few colors also....This is because I do not own a few of them...such as a very bright pink shadow...So I had to mix. And also...the pay off isn't the same...but... in any case, I used: light sky blue, a bright pink blusher ( all your make-up items are extremely versatile ), plum, deep mauve, orange, black (to make the colors around the edge darker) yellow and a shimmery white (as a highlight).

Tip:
- Don't over pack your colors on...Add bit by bit. It will reduce fallout and you will be able to control how much color you have.
- Don't take the color very up or too much into the inner corner. I will look over done, taking up too much space on your face. Be elegant!

Also...because of how much I liked my Alverde concealer, I went ahead and brought a foundation and mascara ^^.

The foundation have a very nice coverage, not going thick, feeling heavy, or making your face look like a mask. It is based on minerals, for a mixed and oily complexion. But, don't think it will make your skin dry. It takes care nicely of each and every bit of your skin ^^.
And for me...I have finally found a foundation that matches perfectly my skin color!! I also brought a mascara "Precision" which I like, but it make my lashes look really "natural gifted" like....I'm the girl that kinda likes "spiders" on her eyes ^^;;;;. So it's a somewhat change for me.

What I used:

Face:
* Alverde Mineral Make-up Foundation, shade 01 Naturelle;
* Alverde Mineral Camouflage Powder, shade Sand;
* Farmasi, Happy Face powder, shade 03;
* Farmasi, Tender Blush On, shade 169;
* Miss Sporty,
Bronzing Powder, shade Sun Kissed.

Eyes:
* Sephora Pallete, pinks and purples (plum, mauve) + whites and blacks (black, shimmery white);
* Profusion Pallete, nr. 06 (light blue, orange);
* Seventeen Mono Eyeshadow, shade Gold;
* Sephora Pencil, shade white;
* Alverde Precision Mascara.

Lips:
* Farmasi, shade 12.

I do hope you enjoy it! Have an easy week!

Silver and brown look - Inspired from "All of the lovers", by Kylie Minogue

A few days back, I attended a birthday party, held in a Chinese restaurant. After a long period of not using make-up, because of some problems my skin had lately due to accumulated stress. So I felt in a more shinny and glowy state ^^. Truth is...I haven't worn grays and silvers in some time....and ever since I saw the video made by Kylie, I wanted badly to try her look out. I made a small change and not go so far with the under soft gray, but in broad lines I followed the look ^^.

What I used:

Face:
*mix between Stay Matte Foundation, shade 1 + a bit of shade 6 + Artistry Self Defining Sheer Foundation, shade Fawn;
* Farmasi, Camouflage Concealer Liquid, shade 03;
* Farmasi, Happy Face powder, shade 03;
* Elf, Natural Radiance Blusher, shade Innocence;
* Miss Sporty,
Bronzing Powder, shade Sun Kissed.

Eyes:
* Sephora Pallete (the one with more blacks);
* Miss Sporty,Bronzing Powder, shade Sun Kissed;
* Eveline, liquid liner, shade Black;
* Farmasi, Catwalk Illusion Mascara, shade black.

Lips:
*Gleam Rouge Liquide Lipstick, shades 12 & 13.

I know that black makes my eyes like O.O huuugeeee! But heh.... ^^;;; I love too much my liquid liners.
I do hope you enjoy it and I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend! I know I need it....^^

Avertisment!!!

Summer mini haul - Bits and pieces

Hey guys! Summer is over and the holiday almost also...*sad face*. But even so...I great this weather with open arms! I do enjoy the cold weather a lot more than the blazing one. Looking forward to winter...snow...and all the winter sports! Until then, let me show what I managed to get during this summer!

At first I want to point out that I "tried" to not walk in all the stores I wanted...success was on my side this year and I brought just some things for my treat, mostly!

I am going to start with face products first:

From Dermacol ( see page here ) I went and got their Satin base and Finishing powder. Both work wonders! The base really feels like it's making a perfect double skin. The fixing powder, although white in the container, is invisible on the skin and blends the foundation making it look natural! (even if you put the foundation on in the most careless way!)

Lips next:

Lip gloss from Sephora, shade 20.
Lipstick from Manhattan Line, shade 150.

First line: H&M Brow liner, shade Blond.
Second line : Sephora lip crayon. shade 114.
Third line: Seventeen Creamy eye liner, shade White Light.

Went a little over with nail products, because I get bored fast with them:

I finally found a nail care product that helped my nails grow longer without any breaks, cracks and co. Jessica Recovery Basecoat for Brittle Nails is a hydrating polish for hard, but easily breakable.

H&M polishes in the Summer Collection ( Blue, Pure white, Purple and Green ) and in the Fall Collection, in shade Grey Sky. The formula is a little bit thicker, but the drying time is small and the finish always seems to be flawless. I never used a top coat with these. And they lasted for ages!! Not even one chip until I removed the color!

And last, but the ones I care for the most: jewelry!

The pendant has a Labradorit precious stone. Besides Moon stone...this is one of my favorite stones! Always changing..never looking the same...

In conclusion, lot's of H&M in my list...Bits and pieces from everywhere. I do hope it's helpful!

Have a great weekend!

Goth Glam

For all those that want to go for a more heavy look or a look that works at raves and concerts, keep on reading! I opted for this look because of the party my friend held for her birthday. I wouldn't wear this during the day or even at night, if I didn't have the occasion. Even now it was more for fun and blend two requests I had for a dark eye and how to get nude lips. But let's get to work!

With a black pencil I contoured my eye with a more thick line and used a pencil brush to blend and smudge it. In the crease I used a gray shadow and on the smudged pencil a black shadow, but placed as close to the lash line as possible. Under the brow and in the inner corner use a white color to brighten the look. With a fluffy brush blend it all until you have no more harsh lines. Take a liquid, creme or gel based liner and line your upper lash line, but don't make a tail in order not to over do the eye. With a waterproof pencil line your waterline and, with care, the lash line. Plenty of mascara and your done.

I also applied false lashes, but I was in a hurry and glued the left one a little bit to close to the inner corner. So be careful not to make my mistake! After the glue is dry, you can apply another thin layer of liquid liner, to cover the strip of the lashes and the glue.

To make my lips so nude I used a simple technique. Before I started doing my face I applied some lip balm to condition my lips. By the time I got to them, they absorbed the formula. For this you can use foundation (any kind), concealer or lip erasers. Since you can't find here lip erasers and my foundation is more on the sheer side, I opted for concealer. I used the product on my lip in the amount, I felt, best covered them up. To fix it, I used some mineral powder on top of it. This "combo" (to many games played, sorry :D ) is drying for the delicate skin, that is why I used a balm before, and also to prevent the unaesthetic look of dry chipped lips. After that, I pressed once harder on a lilac colored lipstick with my finger, and placed it in the middle of my lips, to give them some dimension. You can do this with any other color or even put lipgloss on top!

For the hair tutorial please follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmynRJPl3Q4 I LOOOOVEEE FAUX MOHAWK!!

And so...your done!!

What I used:

Face: * Artistry Self Defining Sheer Foundation, shade Porcelain, mixed with L'oreal Visible Lift, shade 105 Porcelain;
* Elf All Over Cover Stick, shade Fair;
* Rimmel London, Lasting Finish Minerals Loose powder, shade 103 True Ivory;
* Beja Cosmetics, shade 2;
* Miss Sporty, Bronzing Powder, shade Sun Kissed;
* ELF Bronzing Powder, shade Luminance.

Eyes: * Farmasi Eye Pencil, shade 110 (black);
* Forres Cosmetics, shade Gray;
* L'Oreal Color Trio, Oriental Beauty for Hazel eyes (the blak shadow);
* Dior Pallet (the white shade);
* E. Funkhouser creme eye liner, shade Graphite;
* Maybelline NY, Unstoppable Eyeliner, shade Onyx;
* Miss Sporty, Pump Up Lashes, shade 001 black;
* Essence Brow Kit.

Lips: * Elf All Over Cover Stick, shade Fair;

Hope this was helpful! Have a nice week!

Cheryl Cole - Fight for this Love inspired look by Lauren Luke

My friend wanted a Cheryl Cole inspired look from the " Fight for this Love " video. Browsing the internet for a picture, I found something even better: a video made by the very talented Lauren Luke, the make-up artist that made her debut in posting YouTube make-up videos, inspired from all that surround her. Her work is inspiring and, from my point of view, a true example that should be followed! With this post, I wish to congratulate her and all her effort, in making something truly beautiful!

In the look I made, following her steps, the only things I changed are in not applying so much of the bronzer and liner Cheryl used (because my friend has sensitive eyes) and the colors...because you can do a look even if you don't have the exact colors!

And here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0h9gjW47Pyg

Hope this is helpful! Have a nice week!
